We have moved our foaling season back due to the horrible build up weather. Our mares usually foal in Dec/ Jan but we have moved it back to March 2025. We hope this means it will be cooler and easier on mares and foals. We will be offering most of our foals this season. We will have the following foals offered. - ASH Bay Silver (Knock N Out Zeds) - ASH x OTT Bay or Black Silver (Knock N Out Zeds) - ASH x Quarab Bay or Black Silver possibly Tobiano. (Knock N Out Zeds) - ASH x QH Buckskin/ Buckskin Tobiano (Huonfels Indian Outlaw) - ASH x QH Bay/ Buckskin/ Black possible Tobiano or Roan (Huonfels Indian Outlaw) - ASH x QH Bay possible Tobiano. (Huonfels Indian Outlaw). All foals will be available once on the ground.  We currently have 2 youngsters available from last season a stunning bay colt/ gelding and a high quality Buckskin roan filly.

We are tentatively offering some of our mules at a discounted price. This is due to escalating work commitments and we want to see them in homes that can give them the most work and love. Home is most important. We will not be offering them to just anyone. You must have good paddocks, knowledge of animal health and welfare, and be willing to maintain a high standard of care. We will be discounting the sale cost of each animal by $1500 to help with transport costs. We are located near Darwin, NT and Cleins, Dippys and Darwin Horse Floats come past monthly. We will meet the truck on the highway.  This offer will end on 1st March 2024. Deposit or Balance must be paid. We currently have 2 mollys and 2 geldings available.

We are delighted to welcome our first foal for the season. A strong curious john mule from Blue out of Jack. He is black with pangare and we will test for roan.  Upcoming foals are as follows Miniatures Starz x Jack - Possible Buckskin/ Smokey Buckskin Vegas x Jack - Bay Silver or Black Silver Charity x Jack - Bay Tobiano or Bay Silver.

Mules are incredibly intelligent and strong, which makes them highly desirable as work and companion animals. However, there are a few things to understand when buying a mule.  Mules do not simply accept all humans as equal. You may buy a well-trained mule who is going well for the owner and that’s great. But this doesn’t mean the mule will instantly behave the same for you. What it means is you have bought an animal with a great deal of knowledge; the mule will then assess you and see if you match his level and if you are worth sharing that knowledge with. Mules think more than horses. Horses are reactive, we add pressure they move away and try and escape. So, we then train them based on this. Mules feel the pressure and question it. Why are you pressuring me? What is the purpose? Am I safe? Is it worth my effort? So people think they are stubborn because they don’t instantly trust the humans decision and refuse to put themselves in a new position until they have considered all the options. Once a mule trusts you and your judgement (which requires work on your part) then anything is possible. Mules will test your knowledge and there’s a chance the mule might decide you are not the right person for them. Horses will simply accept the fact that the match doesn’t work and carry on, but mules will make life harder by seeking their own solutions and using their considerable strength to refuse to participate. Work with your mule often to build a relationship, always be clear in your handling and allow them the time they need to think. Reward anything you want repeated. If you are not confident then get help. You have to be willing to learn and develop your skills if you want a long trusting partnership with your mule. Mules are smart and like to work. They get bored easily and don’t like meaningless tasks. So make training fun, we use a lot of tack/ props, obstacles and toys to make training purposeful. Additionally, we shake up the environment by hauling away and taking the team to new places and asking them to work on their skills. Don’t get stuck in the round yard day in and day out it will drive your mule crazy and bored. Match your personalities, if you are bright and outgoing get a mule who likes that. Some mules are shy and introverts, they don’t like rough housing and loud voices and high energy people. However, some mules love attention and a lot of activity and thrive in high energy environments. If you like a steady companion look for a mule who is comfortable just being with you, whereas a smoochy type will be all over you. A over friendly mule will become lonely and bored and may start pacing in their paddock, calling, destroying things for attention. Whereas a mule who is more introverted may ignore the humans all together and not be suited to humans who want an animal that runs up for pats and attention. Mules have very big personalities and are all very different to each other. Just like humans.

Vixen has started under saddle and will be on our sales list soon. Hennessy has begun his education and will be a very special boy for a future competitor. Mistraal will be returning to her home and Storm will be heading out for some exposure for the season. Next on the list are Outlaw and Jazzy who will be started under saddle.  The mules have come in and Jedda and Bubbles will be commencing work. Peaches is also getting a refresher in Harness.

We have been working as the weather allows with 5 horses in training. - Hennessy is being started under saddle, while he still has a ton of growing to do we figured it would be best to get a light start on him. - Storm is coming into work and hopefully will continue on to jumping competition this season. With her bloodlines going back to Grand Cru we know this special girl will be a true athlete. - Vixen is being started and handled for the first time and has come along really well, she will be offered for sale in coming months - Raven has also commenced groundwork, she has a long way to go and will also be offered for sale. - We will be sending Mistraal home with some rides on her and a massive attitude adjustment. She has come a very long way in her time with us.  The mules will be coming into work too. both under saddle, trick training and harness. Peaches, Bubbles, Jedda and Starbuck will all be looking for new homes.

Hey Everyone We have an exciting line up of horses to be bred this season. Our stud colts will be having their debut season. And will be matched with some of our high quality mares. Jack will also be with his ladies and we look forward to the upcoming mule foals. We will have 11 mares bred and EOI are invited on most of the foals. Foals will be available at weaning and registered, branded/ chipped. If you have anything specific in mind let us know and you will be updated when the foals are on the ground. Foals will be due end of 2022........... Though Denim is retired from breeding so her final filly (Jedda) Is available for purchase. We are looking at a mix of minis and micros. - Charity (Chestnut/Silver Tobiano) - Vegas (HZ Silver, Tobiano) - Blue (Black Roan) - Starz (Cremello)

We have had a massive weekend at the stud. - We have branded our colts and registration papers will be going off soon. If you are in the market for a nice young horse let us know! - We washed and clipped the miniature mule work team as they go off on another block of equine assisted psychotherapy. They are now all ready for long hours on the road and helping people with their mental health. - We have begun clipping the broodmares in preparation for breeding season and also the upcoming hot weather. We want the girls to be as comfortable as possible and clipped coats and hogged manes keep everyone nice and cool. - We will soon be putting our 2 ASH colts out for their first season at stud and will be offering some very special foals for sale. We will be posting more about that later so stay tuned. - We will also be offering some mules for sale as well. :) - Our work horses are soon heading off for some jobs and careers and our lesson horse team is gearing up for riding lessons and our new coaching slots on weekends.
